She also completed a post graduate fellowship at Denver VA Medical Center with an emphasis in stroke, TBI, swallowing disorders and head and neck cancer. Barbara received her master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado-Greeley. She also completed a post graduate fellowship at Denver VA Medical Center with an emphasis in stroke, TBI, swallowing disorders and head and neck cancer. She established STA in 1986 to serve the needs of Las Vegas and surrounding areas. She is certified in Vital Stim, the leading dysphagia treatment. She works primarily with the adult population.

Angela "Angel" Frechette, M.S., CCC-SLP, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Neuroscience and Family Studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2018. She received her Master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University in 2024.

Angel specializes in working with young adults and adults, with a clinical focus on neurological conditions, cognitive-communication, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders. As someone who is Filipino and grew up in Hawaii, Angel values connection, culture, and individualized care in the therapy process. She brings a warm, culturally aware, and personal approach to therapy; and believes treatment should feel functional, supportive, and centered around each person’s real life.
Outside of her work as a speech-language pathologist, Angel enjoys cooking, watching movies, and going to stand-up comedy shows with her partner of eight years.
