All of our therapist are Nevada State Licensed and ASHA Certified. We are an out patient clinic offering speech, language, voice and swallowing therapy. We work with many Las Vegas valley physicians and surgeons to ensure that your treatment is tailored to your specific needs.
Established in 1986, our therapists have experience with the adult, youth, and young children/infant populations. Combined our therapists bring over 30 years of experience to the table. We are certified in Vital Stim therapy, the leading dysphagia treatment.
We offer in-depth experience with disorders that effect speech, language, swallowing, voice, and cognition. All therapy sessions are one on one with a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
Speech disorders occur when a person has difficulty producing speech sounds correctly (articulation or phonology) or fluency (stuttering).
Language disorders occur when a person has trouble understanding others (receptive language), or sharing thoughts, ideas, and feelings (expressive language).
Social communication disorders/pragmatic disorders are present when a person has trouble with the social use of verbal and nonverbal communication. These disorders may include problems communicating for social purposes and following rules for conversation and story-telling.
What is dysphagia (dis-FAY-ja)?
It is defined as difficulty swallowing. It affects millions of people worldwide, both young and old. Swallowing difficulties may follow an illness, surgery, stroke, or injury.
We are trained and certified providers of VitalStim/NMES therapy. What is NMES therapy? It is the use of neuromuscular electrical stimulation in the treatment of dysphagia approved by the FDA. VitalStim Therapy is supported by compelling clinical data published in the peer-reviewed literature.
You’ll finally find a voice that’s truly yours. Develop your vocal strength and knowledge so that you can build muscle memory, and control your voice how you would like. We give you the tools to be able to speak with confidence.
Voice disorders occur when a person has problems with his or her voice or resonance. This can stem from a number of medical conditions, improper use or overuse of the voice, or following a surgery or injury.
We also offer treatment for voice actors, singers, stage actors, teachers, real estate agents, coaches and other individuals with high vocal requirements.
Transgender vocal skills are also treated in this office.
Cognitive-communication disorders include problems organizing thoughts, paying attention, remembering, planning, and/or problem-solving. These disorders may occur as a result of a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or dementia, although they can be congenital.
In a modified barium swallow (MBS) study, you ingest foods and liquids containing barium, a contrast dye that outlines your mouth, throat, and esophagus on x-ray film. Using real-time x-rays, or fluoroscopy, a radiologist and a speech pathologist observe the movement of the barium through these structures on a monitor. MBS studies are specifically aimed at evaluating the swallowing process in individuals who have difficulty swallowing food and liquids. We can determine the risk or presence of aspiration and recommend the least restrictive and safest diet.
